We’re delighted to welcome Yolanda Miranda as General Counsel. Yolanda brings a wealth of legal and strategic experience from her work with the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Justice and other leading organizations. Here is more about Yolanda:
Based in Brooklyn, NY, Yolanda Miranda comes to The Brigid Alliance from the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Justice where she was Senior Director of Growth and and led internal efforts on compliance and governance. She has worked with organizations such as the International Planned Parenthood Federation, Brooklyn Law School, and the Climate Science Legal Defense Fund. Yolanda is dedicated to fighting for reproductive health, rights and justice, and is excited to support the Brigid Alliance’s mission, vision and legal efforts at this pivotal moment.
We’re equally excited to welcome Dr. Suyanna Linhales Barker as Chief of Staff. Suyanna has dedicated her career to advancing health equity through community-rooted strategies and culturally grounded care, with a lifelong commitment to social and reproductive justice. Here is more about Suyanna:
Dr. Suyanna Linhales Barker is a public health leader with more than 30 years of experience advancing health equity through community-rooted strategies and culturally grounded care. She most recently served as Chief Program Officer at La Clínica del Pueblo in Washington, D.C., where she led cross-functional teams to eliminate health disparities among Latine and immigrant communities, with a special focus on survivors of gender-based violence. With global experience and academic training in public health, social psychology, and public policy, Dr. Linhales Barker brings deep expertise in participatory learning, coalition building, and systems-level change. Her work is guided by a lifelong commitment to social and reproductive justice and a belief that culturally responsive, preventive care is essential to achieving equity.
