Welcome to Leidy Londoño, Our New Director of Client Services!

December 12, 2023

This post was written by Serra Sippel, Interim Executive Director at The Brigid Alliance

When I think about The Brigid Alliance’s growth over the past five years – from a single staff member in 2018 to now a team of 18 that supports up to 140 clients monthly – I am filled with gratitude and appreciation. Support from donors like you has been instrumental in this journey.

Today, I am thrilled to welcome Leidy Londoño as The Brigid Alliance’s new Director of Client Services. Leidy’s journey as a first-generation queer immigrant, and her seasoned experience in public health and reproductive rights, position her to lead our team with empathy and expertise.

Leidy’s skills, particularly in trauma-informed care and digital program integration, developed at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, will be vital in enhancing our services and adapting to the evolving landscape of abortion access.

When you give to The Brigid Alliance, you’re ensuring that we can expand our impact and help more people. As we continue to grow, your contributions are more crucial than ever – and now through December 31, your donations make even more of an impact: Thanks to a generous donor, your contribution made up to $200,000 will be doubled.

Our mission to expand access to abortion and help people forced to travel for care has never been more urgent. Recent research statistics shows that in states that ban or restrict abortion access, 20-25% of people who would have sought abortions are now carrying pregnancies to term. This is why we’re continuing to grow our team to help people overcome these challenges and make the choice that is right for them.

Together, with Leidy’s leadership and your unwavering support, we can continue to make a significant difference in the lives of those who need us most.
